Dixie State University
Public Services Librarian
St George, UT
Dianne Aldrich lives in southern Utah with her husband and three children. She is an associate professor/public services librarian and has been working for Dixie State University in Saint George, Utah, for the last 10 years. Her main areas of focus are interlibrary loan as well as coordinating and restructuring the university’s information literacy program. Dianne completed her BA in literature and writing studies at Cal State San Marcos. From there she moved to Illinois to complete her master’s degree in library and information science at the University of Illinois, Urbana–Champaign. Currently she is working on her doctorate degree in education. Finding balance between work, school and family is challenging, but as she has discovered, not impossible. Mindfulness is an important element in creating that balance. She hopes to share some of that during her panel discussion.
